Are all accounts on Twitter fake? NO!

A good, useful and friendly robot

Before we start working on determining fake accounts on Twitter, we need to think about which accounts are creating automated content. In a previous publication, I discussed the number or percentage of tweets that seem to come from bots. But how much of the traffic that flows through Twitter comes from automated systems that are seeking to deliver mostly useful information to us?

Calculation using Spark for automatic traffic

The technique was to use the distinct usernames identified as bots as a percentage of the total number of distinct users to determine which percentage of the total users seem to be bots. The percentage of bot users is approximately 17.6% according to my calculations.
